For example, I have several AttributeManager transformers that can be upgraded and I want to upgrade them, but I don't want to have to upgrade each of them individually.

Please note that this Idea covers upgrading ALL transformers OF THE SAME TYPE.

If you would like to support the Idea to upgrade all transformers regardless of type – please see this Idea.

Yes, upgrading all Inspectors of my Workbench individually feels like a waste of time. But there is always one Transformer that has that special setting that needs to be reviewed.

Ditto, I have 55 attribute creators to upgrade and I needed a break, so I came to see if this post already existed.

I agree with upgrade all of the same type of transformer - for instance I have a workflow with several copies of the same transformer, all with very similar settings - so once I have reviewed one, i can confidently upgrade all without worry.

it's a difficult balance between providing the level of intervention needed to stop people accidentally breaking workflows due to not reviewing upgrades versus reducing workload for people.

What about prompting the type of changes per type of transformer? Maybe with a check box of "don't ask again this change of this type of ransformer".

I'm all right to accept "feature table support" for AttributeManagers, it is OK to click it at other transformers but I may prefer to check eg. "feures at the end" updates one by one FeatureMergers.

@tintin20 For the AttributeCreator I would try to change the workspace with notepad++ after making a copy ^^.

There is definitely a lot of room for improvement here. We should be able to force all transformers to be upgraded in a workspace at once, multi-select to upgrade, and upgrade all of the same type. It is a very painful exercise right now in large workspaces.

I'm also looking for it - after having finished workflow and realising when reviewing it to change something from ALL SAME TRANSFORMERS and with SAME parameter, it is tedious job and ofcourse costs lot of time.

Writing this comment to hopefully keep this idea in the forefront. It is badly needed.

Now that upgrade all transformers is out, is it possible to do it from command line? This would make major upgrades less time consuming.
