Hi,

I am trying to set up topic monitoring as per the Receiving email, Part 1: Setting up a topic and an email address, but when I turn on Topic Monitoring the error " There was an error connecting to monitoring service", inspecting the error in chrome shows that websocket connection failed "failed: Error in connection establishment:". The websocket 7078 port is not blocked by any firewalls.

Are you using a reverse proxy in the middle (IIS)? You'll need to configure the correct routing parameters for the websocket ports


We are not using a reverse proxy.

not yet, I am working on the issue with technical support with SAFE at the moment. I will let you know the outcome.

Hi @paulg​, after IT and SAFE provided much assistance, our current email set up does not work with the current FME websocket/email notification system.

The initial set up of the HTTPS set up (steps 14-17) were what was causing the initial issues https://community.safe.com/s/article/Using-a-CA-Certificate-with-FME-Server
