I often have this problem if I have a published parameter which is receiving an invalid input type. For example a folder/url parameter receiving a value that is a string.

As mentioned by hkingsbury there are a couple of different reasons this error can occur. I'll point you to https://community.safe.com/s/article/run-a-service-from-web-ui-sample-job-fails which tries to highlight these. If none of those suggestions resolve the error, please follow the steps under the General Troubleshooting section to get more information on the error from Developer Tools. If you share that with me I can provide further suggestions.
