Is there an equivilent getCapabilities request for a data streaming service, to know what layers are available?

Unfortunately, there is no built in feature, but you can perform a getCababilites request with the method outline in this tutorial. https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/19640/how-to-create-a-wms-service-using-fme-server.html
