This is a problem for us in our enterprise environment since we do not have authority to save files to C: drive (we use our own allocated space on E: drive). Is there way we can get all those files to install under our selected drive (E:) instead of C:?

Hi @lbohy That shouldn't be happening. What files are being installed to that location when you run the FME Server installer?

If a user starts an express install and then changes to a distributed installation without exiting the installer the install folder can be split between the two specified directories, but if you only follow one path distribute or express this shouldn't occur.

Hi Laura,

I'm seeing files write to C:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Server\\fme\\Safe Software Shared directory. In there are 2 files and 1 folder:

files:

FMECOMUtil.dll

FMEShellExt2.dll

Folder:

FME Objects (I'm sorry to say I didn't look in here).

FYI, We're installing on a Windows 2016 server with the latest release download of FME Server 2018 sp1.

Thanks @lbohy! We'll check into this and get back to you here.

Update: I've replicated this problem when testing with an Express installation. We're looking into it. Thanks for reporting this!
