We are using the FME Desktop 2017.1.1.1 on Windows 10 machine, it works when connected to the Office network, however, when trying to access over the DirectAccess VPN solution, it is not able to connect to the License server

Client Machine - Windows 10

Direct Access Server - Windows 2016

@daleatsafe

Hello ravikanthchinth.

we have the same problem with Direct Access

Do you already have a solution received?

Laptops of our organisation are provided with "DIRECT ACCESS", so when I work at home, my laptop will atomaticly connect through a VPN to my work-environment.

(IP-HTTPS IPv6 through VPN).

Then when I start the workbench FME it has to connect to a Licency server but unfortunately this does not work in combination with Direct Acces (FME: checking license....).

(when I work at location with Direct Access I have no problems).

- Does FME support Direct Access?

- Do I have to configure something to work with FME/DirectAccces?

Please reply, thank you.

Hi,

I raised this issue with our Safe partner and they pointed me to this fix

https://knowledge.safe.com/idea/36924/fme-floating-licences-support-ipv6.html

It works for me :-)

Kind Regards,
