Hi,

 

I have installed FME desktop and server, my organization has a license server that i was able to define for the desktop client, but, i am unsure how to configure the FME server instance to that license server?

 

Is it not meant to work that way?

It is not meant to work that way, FME Server uses Safe's own licensing. You should have received a serial number, if you go to the System Configuration -> Licensing page in FME Server you can enter it there to register it.
