I've just run into an issue with FME Desktop crashing on startup with the system error logs mentioning winspool.drv. I'm pretty sure it is to do with a recent Windows update KB4541329 so I'm trying to uninstall that. I'll update this post once that is done but in the mean time you might want to avoid that update.

Update: Uninstalling that Windows update worked and FME Desktop runs now.

Hi @gazza, Thanks for letting us know. I will try upgrading my Operating System to Windows update KB4541329 and test it myself. Did you experience the crash with FME Dekstop 2019 or 2020 or both?

Both 2019 and 2020.

Both 2019 and 2020.

It appears that this update only applies to Windows 10 Version 1607 or Windows Server.

Can you confirm your operating system? All my machines are running the latest 1903 version.

Windows Server, I don't have access to it right now to get the exact details.
