Hi, I have Civil 3D AutoCAD model with XRef attached. I cannot find the way to read the XRef layes as autocad_entity=autocad_xref. The only place that tells me that is an xfer is stored in the autcad_layer as apart from the layer name has the name of other model. What am I doing wrong? image

Hi @marta.podsiad,

Have you enabled 'Read External References' under the Advanced parameters in the Civil 3D Reader?

If the features are read in, there should be a point feature that represents the attachment point, and an external reference definition which contains information about the type of External Reference and the path to the external file. If you need to read in the geometry of the xref, I believe you'll want to use a FeatureReader and point it at the attribute containing the path, autocad_xref_path.

There's a bit more information on working with External References here that might be helpful to check out: https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME-Form-Documentation/FME-ReadersWriters/acad/external_references.htm
