How to clamp heights down to WGS84 surface?

Hi everyone!I have several building models in WGS84 and heights relative to WGS84. How can I clamp those buildings down to WGS84 so that they can be visualized on the surface of WGS84? In other words I need to get rid of the heights!Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to export the results of the data inspector?

When I am satisified with the results shown in the data inspector, is there a way to export them rather than to start the whole model again from scratch?

FME Server not writing output

Ok, so this is the situation:I have a workspace that is completely functioning in FME Desktop. In this workspace, a lot of writers are implemented, creating folders and output. Some examples:- $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/output/$(DateString)/Validation/Validation.html (for a html writer)- $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/output/$(DateString)/Delta/ (for a esri shape writer)- $(FME_SHAREDRESOURCE_DATA)/output/$(DateString)/output.gdb (for a file geodatabase writer)De folder "output" already exists, but the folder "$(DateString)" not yet. The DateString is made in a small Private Parameter script.In FME Desktop, this results in all my folders being created and files being made exactly how I want it. However, when I do this using FME Server, only my geodatabase writer seems to write anything (and often not all the features that should be in it!) in my output folder. The other data is only available as a downloadlink after the run (which is not how I need it to be). Any idea h

I have combined a las file with a aerial photo using the PointCloudOnRasterComponentSetter and would like to save the result as a 3d pdf. The results looks great in the data inspector but now i´d like to share it.What would be the best method?

Why can't i see my FeatureClasses in ArcCatalog after using the Legacy SDE30 Writer?

The workspace completes successfully and FME's Data Inspector can select the layer.

House Numbering

Hello Guys Any one has work on automating the House numbering for a city , we assume there is no adress system implemented yet and could use the same system as North america ( one side of the street , odd numbers and the other side even numbers.)Any ideas Thanks

I have 100's of ASCII file containing coordinates which have no column names. I need to add "X Y Z" to the first line of every file. How could I do this with fme 2016?

Cut and fill - compare two layer

I got two layer - one GeoTiff with DTM from Lidar data, the other is a shape file or another surface layer. I want to compare them (in ArcGIS or QGIS) you find procedures like "cut and fill" - in the end you got a summary of shapes and their volumes (positive = fills, negative = cuts). I need this for a couple of projects in my job - plan a road and calculate the bilance of the material or compare Lidar data for change detection. (I hope my English isn't to bad.)Thank you!

Microstation DGN V7 - Writing dimensions

Hi,I am creating a process to 'clean up' our microstation v7 dgns - remove duplicates, unwanted data on wrong levels etc.When I read the v7 dgns then write back to v7, I am losing any dimensions. They are changing from idgs_element_type 33 (dimension) to 4 (lines).I have the 'drop dimension' unticked.Has anyone experienced anything like this? Am I doing something wrong?Any help would be really appreciated.KRAmgaad

Can I designate coordinates for point features in a CAD file with no coordinate system specified to georeference the data?

Can I georeferenced a CAD file by using a bounding box approach to "move" all of the features to specified coordinates in a specified coordinate system?

How add watermark to .obj files?

Hi guys, I have a textured .obj file. I would like to add watermark (logo of company or author name) on top of texture and set transparency to ~ 50% to not cover completely my textured model. I was thinking to use appearance setter but i can't find a good setting to achieve my goal. I don't want to edit mesh, change number of triangules or set different coordinate system etc. Anyone have idea how to make it?Cheers, Magda

Read multiple Oracle Spatial geometry columns in FME

Hi, I have 5 SDO_GEOMETRY columns in an Oracle Spatial table. I am trying to read multiple geometry columns from the single table in Oracle Spatial. However it is reading only the first geometry every time. How can I read all the 5 geometry columns in FME within one transaction flow? Regards, Ananda

Can't write to SQL server

I am updating a SQL Server database in FME Desktop 2015. My process runs successfully without error messages but nothing is actually written to the database (the log shows 125 features written). I am using fme_db_operation as the feature operation and the ID field as the match column. I don't know a whole lot about SQL, what am I missing here?

Create Grids of the same size

Hi,Trying to create grids in different parts of the world of the same size i.e. 1km in length.I am using Points which are LLWGS84 as my source and using the "2DGridCreator" I have tried setting the projection to "SPHERICAL_MERCATOR" also wondered if "_AZMED_" would work, and also wondered about CommonLocalReprojector (but don't have a bounding box set?). I am then wanting to convert everything back to LLWGS84 and then have grids East to West and North to South with the same length i.e. 1km. current output creates the grids but the length changes in different parts of the world?Any suggestions to set a static length ?

CoordinateConcatenator / attribute string : limit decimal places

I'm new to FME (2 weeks) and i have a problem with decimal places in attribute.I use the CoordinateConcatenator to write my x/y values of line feature (source DGN) to attribute. Example: 267866.5661 239026.86510000002 267865.27559999999 239026.7414 267865.1519 239025 267866.4424 239025.57460000002 267866.5661 239026.86510000002Now i have to restrict the decimal places to 3 (exactly, 0 places included: 239025 -> 239025.000 etc) and then write the attribute to textfile. I tried:-) CoordinateRounder before CoordinateConcatenator (no effect), StringFormatter (didn't accept my values -> example)-) CoordinateExtractor (but i didn't know how to concatenate and format list values, Loop?!, x/y alternation)-) AttributManager and @Format-function (same as StringFormatter) ....Now i don't know any more ...Mayby there is a way to limit all double-values in workspace to 3 decimal places?!Can someone help me?PetraPS: I'm not familiar with python .....

loop through features

Hi,I am quite new in FME and I have a bit of hard time with nested loop. From a Tester transformer (Tester_2), some of my data could pass my stated condition and some couldn't. In the attributes of passed and failed data, there is a field that contains different values and some of which are identical in the both output date from Tester_2. The values are integers and the name of field is vegdekke_objectid.What I want to do is to use the failed data and cross-check them, feature by feature, with the features of passed data based on the field value (vegdekke_objectid). In doing so, I was thinking to create a loop transformer by means of Custom Transformer and have a Tester transformer within the loop. The loop then would iterate and compare one feature at the time in the failed data with the features in the passed data. If no matching value is find for a feature in the failed data, then the feature is considered as the output of the loop transformer. Otherwise, the loop reads the next
