I’ve several fme-worbench created in vers. 2023.2. When I update FME to later versions such as, 2025.2.4 or 2026.1 this warning below pops-up and the run crashes mor or less.

“Running (.fme) Mapping Files is deprecated. Please see http://fme.ly/fmeMappingFileDeprecation for more information”

Any ideas why and what I can do?

What are the file extensions? *.fmw or *.fme?

Are you running old hand-written mapping files with the .fme extension?

Hi @emmylm  That should be just a warning if you’re running a mapping files (*.fme) from the command line, but the warning can also appear if a sub-process is run (which shouldn’t happen - FMEFLOW-26222)

Either way, it shouldn’t cause FME 2025.2.4 or 2026.1 to crash. Please submit a ticket.
