What does error "Failed reading coordinate data at offset 0" mean?

Using reader MITAB on a file written in 2006 and getting the error

"Failed reading coordinate data at offset 0".

Sometimes, the error doesn't stop further actions, sometimes it does.

Can anyone point out the likely issue?

Cheers!

Hi @seanbatt, the error message could occur when the reader is unable to parse expected values from the TAB header file, for example reading integers header values for bounds.

To best assist you, would it be possible for you to provide some sample data? I was also wondering what version of FME you were using. You could also try with other MapInfo formats, depending on your FME version and your operating system (please refer to this article for more information).
