Hi All,

I’m using FME 2021 32Bit on GESW 4.1 and unable to read the tables. Screenshots showing starting of TICS server & modules which I used in GESW along with error from FME are attached for reference.

Can someone point out to the location which I’m missing anything such that tables can be read…

Thank you

Hi @pratap,

Thanks for posting on the FME Community, and sorry to hear you’re running into issues reading Smallworld tables in FME.

Given the error messages and screenshots you’ve shared, this looks like something that would benefit from a closer look by our support team. I’d recommend opening a support ticket with us, and including:

  • your FME version and bitness,

  • your Smallworld version and bitness,

  • whether connecting to Smallworld using FME has worked before, or works with other tables,

  • your .log file with debug enabled (found under Tools > FME Options > Translation > and enable Log Debug. Re-run your workspace with log debug enabled and send us the resulting .log file),

  • and the screenshots you’ve already posted here.

In the meantime, just to confirm one important detail: are you also running 32-bit GESW 4.1, and is it configured for use with FME? This article walks through configuration and is a good checklist to review (including ensuring bitness matches and that the correct .dll and .fmf files are present in the FME installation directory for the appropriate FME version):

Thanks for your patience, and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions!
