Hello.

I am having some trouble with writing dates from a Mapinfo (MID/MIF) file format to an ssf.

I have tried creating a field and then populating it with the specifed date but it does not seem to be writing.

Any ideas of how i can make this work would be much better than having no date, or entering dates for the 2000 points I have.

Cheers,

Emma.

Hi Emma,

Are you using the date formatter or date converter to format the date string?

HI Itay,

I have tried to use both, but it seems that it has something to do with the data dicionaty (DDF) file that i am trying to write the data too.

In the data dictionary i have a date feild and for some reason it doens't like it no matter what transformers i use to try and get it into the format it likes.

After sleeping on it, I have found a solution. I changed the date feild in the data dicionary just to a string/text feild and then used the attribute creatort and populated the "Date_captured" field with the date I needed to apply to the data. So i guess this is how i will have to do it from now on.

Thanks though for giving me a few other ideas which i did try.

Cheers,

Emma.
