Reference: Extracting a schema subset for dynamic schemas

  • SCHEMASUBSET.zip contains 4 fds files, is there any difference each of them?

SCHEMASUBSET.fds

  • All the 4 fds files when opened in FME Desktop, giving the below warning.

Hi @ranga_tolapi

The datasets on that article need to be extracted to the <Documents>/FME/Formats folder on your computer. Then restart FME Workbench and you can find the custom format in the reader by typing in "Subset of Source Schema"

Please note that is article is very old, and those files may not work with newer versions of FME as the Python versions have changed. I have prioritized this article for a potential update after the FME User Conference next week and will update this question once it has been reviewed.

Hi @lizatsafe, any updates on this please.

Hi @lizatsafe, this is to let you know that I am still awaiting for your valuable update.
