Question

Is it possible to read information (f.e. pipes) from an Autodesk dwg file to write it into a Revit-file or into the IFC-Format? Thank you in advance.

Hi @eddymeyer. Have you looked at this article to help you get started: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/595/autocad-to-ifc-conversion-example.html ?

If you require further assistance, sharing a few more details will help the FME community help you. Please reply to this thread and provide additional details including:

  • The version of FME you are using, including build number and edition
  • A small sample of your data, or screenshots of the data in the FME Data Inspector

  • Your FME workspace
  • Your FME translation log file
