Question

How do I bypass class extensions when reading from ArcSDE?

I'm trying to read Feature Class from our Enterprise Geodatabase and because we have custom class extensions registered on all our our data.

I am not able to set the Reader to bypass the class extensions.

I get this warning in the log

"Unable to read from the table/feature class 'YK_SPATIAL.Buildings'. If 'YK_SPATIAL.Buildings' contains a class extension, make sure it is registered on this computer"

Thanks

Hi,

Have you received/identified any solution for this problem?

@pratap did you find a solution? I have the same problem with a Personal Geodatabase and FME (2016.1.0.1). ArcMap (10.2.2) errors with: "Unable to create class extension COM component". Google got me this: http://support.esri.com/technical-article/000002980 but as I have no experience with developing in ESRI products I like to check for other solutions before divining in.

Hi @srayford

Good to hear that you solved this. Can you enlighten me how did you do that?

Best regards,
