Hi FME'ler,

I need some help with DWG and its blocks in 3D.

Input

DWG-file with a lot of blocks showing points, their name and their elevation as labels from attributes. Everything is in 3D.

When reading this file into FME Inspector I can see the attributes having z-values.

FME transformation

In FME I had to offset the blocks slightly in direction of xy. The elevation should remain.

When inspecting the results before writing, I can see the z-values. Everything looks good.

Output

When inspecting the output in FME Inspector (and AutoCAD) the block's points are at the correct position (with elevation), but their labels are on the ground (0).

Does anyone know how the elevation of the attributes behave?! I already tried to set these values directly in FME, but the writer ignores(?) them.

Thanks in advance!

Maria
