Both workbench and Server are 2014. The workbench extracts data from oracle and writes shapefiles.

Desktop destination Directory is different from the servers?

(easy ? and I shoud know this)...When I create the workbench on my desktop I write to c:\\somepath but when I publish I want it to write to d:\\someother path. How do I set the path in workbench?

If it were me I'd edit the definition of the writer under User Parameters --> Published Parameters to have a Type: of Choice (Multiple). Then I'd put the 2 different paths in there under the Configuration: section. When you run it on FME Server you'll have to go into Configure and under destination in you click in the blank space you can choose which path you want it to run to. There's probably a much easier way, but this isn't that bad.
