Question

Bounding volume of Tiles in Cesium 3D Tiles

Hi All,

I am trying to convert ERSI shapefile(LOD0) to Cesium 3D Tiles using FME 2017 Writer. Here is my workspace :

When i use Cesium to visualize it, bounding volume of tile is skew like this:

I use Cesium's Template code to visualize(change url to my tileset path) so i guess my code is fine.

Could anyone help me on this?

Thank you,

Hi @chuthuavu1996, are the 3D objects (looks like buildings) displayed on the correct location with correct sizes?

Hi @takashi,

My 3D building location and sizes displayed correctly. I do not have height data of 3D object so i fake it in my FME workspace. You can check my shapefile: hanoishp.zip

Hi, @chuthuavu1996. I have a similar problem with boundingbox converting collada to 3d tiles. Did you have a chance to find the solution for it?

I am also facing a similar issue when using FME Workbench 2021.1.2 . Hope that issue can be resolved! If using Sphere as bounding volume looks good for you. Please consider to update your tileset.json to resolve this issue temporarily
