Unable to Extract Links from Webpage using HTMLExtractor

Hi there, I am trying to extract links from this page Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme - Maps using the methods posted on this forum as well as from the official documentation HTMLExtractor (safe.com), however there is zero total features read, meaning no output. Would this be due to the way the site is structured? I am specifally trying to extract the urls for the PDF maps on the left, and output to a SQL table and link to our GIS, as these links change every so often.Regards,Josh

How to merge muliple Personal Geodatabases(mdb) with a selected mdb as schema template?

Hi everyone, I have several Esri personal Geodatabases with similar schema but also some tiny differences.That is, they are required to have identical schema but in fact some don't due to various reasons. Some feature types and attributes are unexpected, while some required ones are missing. Now I want to choose a standard one from them as a template and merge them all to get a standard destination mdb. How can I achieve that?

ESRI Geodatabase error in Dynamic Writer - Feature Type Definition not defined.

Hi,I am just in the process of migration testing from FME Flow/Form 2023.1 to 2024.1. It seems all of our GeoDB dynamic writer fails the following error:Esri Geodatabase Writer: Feature Type Definition 'd_y_n' was requested, but not defined. Please visit https://www.safe.com/support All existing runs perfect on 2023.1 Flow and Form - not sure why it fails. Tried all possible scenarios, still fails. Failed to fetch transformation error

We have web application that triggers FME Workspace on FME Flow server. Sometimes (rare case) we receive an error in the application “Failed to access module”.Error in log files point to problem with FME saying:2024-09-11 02:53:36.7457|Warn||||Error occurred in FMERequestor Method RequestFMEJob: System.InvalidOperationException: Failed to fetch transformation: Status: Unauthorized, Url:http://XXXXX/fmerest/v3/transformations/jobs/id/546567I have no idea why it is not accessible, because in 99% cases it works fine.

Navigator not showing entirely when I open FME

Library Python in FME

Feature Counts

Hi,I have a workspace that reads a shapefile. My workspace has around 450 transformers. I defined published parameters for the user to insert the row quantities of the shapefile.How can I automatically get the number of features from my file and save it in a published parameter to use in the middle of my workspace, simulating the values inserted by the user?

ExcelToPDFWriter

Has anyone tried running the ExcelToPDFWriter in an FME flow? I’m encountering an issue where Excel cannot open the file when I run this transformer in the FME flow. However, I don’t face this issue when running it directly in FME Form. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated!. Intersect with lenght along line (station values)

Is there a way in FME to run a workflow similar to esri Intersect tool where a 1 line feature (1 route) could intersect a second line feature (roads) with multiple lines and get a point feature for each crossing point with the distance along the first line feature. Basically crossing point and stationing along a line?

Oracle connection timeout for long running workspace

Hi! I have a workspace with a runtime of effectively 28 hours (this workspace controls slave workspaces, that get 50 million rows of external data). The runtime is only this long for the initial running of the workspace, However it is possible to get severe peaks in runtime due to hystorical data recalculations. I finish the workspace with a SQL executor that merges the retrieved data with already existing data and does some other cleanup. At this point this transformer fails though, forcing me to run the queries manually. I have not saved the log due to my brilliance :). the error given is paraphrased: there is no connection with the oracle server. I think the issue is that a connection is established previously with the oracle server, than put on hold for about 28 hours, than necessary again, with an elapsed acces key. Is there a way to circumvent this? I have not tried, due to time commitment, to untick persistent connection, should that work?

Use Case - calculate shortest route to several schools

Hello everybody! some weeks ago I asked for help with our project: calculate the distance to all schools in the city having as input one address. (Server App - calculate shortest route to several schools | Community (safe.com)) I have done it using FME Desktop (2022.2) and the result looks pretty nice:In addition I get the shortest paths to each school (each school has more than one entry).Now I have uploaded the GDB with the streets and the Shapefile with the school entries to the FME Server Ressources.I have created a server app (workspace) and run the project.There I receive this error:2024-9-30 09:01:48 | Unable to perform any licensing related tasks. Can you specify an existing feature class in the FeatureWriter

Hi! I’m new to FME. I’m trying to replace an existing feature class with data from a SQL query. I got it to work by using a Reader that specifies the existing table, SQLCreator then a Writer. When I add the writer, it’s using the “Copy from reader” option. Is there a way to use the FeatureWriter transformer and specify an existing feature class instead of using a Writer?

FME Flow certification self-study

Hi, I am training on FME Flow through self-study, utilizing the online course materials on FME Academy. I can see that only one chapter (Flow authoring) is currently structured like a course, with questions/answers and exercises. The others are linked to online articles, which is less user-friendly and convenient.Do you plan to do the whole FME Flow course “as a course”, just like the learning path for FME Form?

Will Safe Software ever get around to fixing the broken links from the Community? The 2024 ‘face-lift’ has been a disaster. The websites barely function, nearly all links are broken, and don’t get me started on Flow and Form renaming.

I have visited the https://fme.safe.com/downloads/ page and found some items of interest in the “Change log” - but would like to know a little more than the very short description provided.The product updates page https://community.safe.com/product-updates offers Feature Highlights for certain builds, but some of the items I want to know more about are not discussed.Is there a location on the website containing release notes, or slightly longer descriptions of the “Adds”, “Bugs”, and “Updates” mentioned in the Change log?~Ray

FME Flow certificate with the help of self-study

Our company has been working hard over the past few months to train and certify consultants in FME Form. Starting this summer, the first small group of consultants will begin earning their certification for FME Flow.Just like with FME Form, the trainees will primarily work through self-study, utilizing the online course materials on FME Academy and theVirtual Machines via FME Academy Lab. The course material includes exercises that require access to an FME Flow environment.My question is: Does a trainee using an FME Academy Lab Virtual Machine have access to the FME Flow interface? Or is the functionality limited to downloading and publishing workspaces using FME Form only?And as a 2nd question, do we have access to FME Flow during the cetificate exam.Thank you in advance for your time
