SAFE.DOCUMENTPDF.DOCUMENTPDF writer Permission issue

Hi everyone,

I am having the strangest issue with FME Flow.

I have a Form that process some data and then creates a pdf file. It works just fine locally with a UNC path.

My issue is Flow, when I publish it, i get a permission denied, but the strange thing is it has no issue writing .txt file to that folder and to make it even more strange, it worked correctly two times out of the 50 tries I did changing things.

I have even tried adding this UNC path as a resource in Flow and same result.

Has anyone had such issues before? Any suggestions?

One strange thing I have noticed with the old PDF writer (and to be honest never tried with the new Docuement PDF writer) is that it could not write to an existing file if that was opened somewhere or had just been closed. It seemed to take a few seconds for the file lock to be released or something.

I’m not saying that that is the cause here, but it’s worth a try.
