Terminate workspace with a JMSReceiver

Is it actually possible to terminate a workspace that contains a JMSReceiver? I have a workflow set up and a terminator is triggered if certain conditions are met. This results in a Program Terminated and Translation Failed message in the log file but the workspace is not actually aborted and has to be manually stopped
