I’m testing the new OPENFILEGDB Reader in 2026.1 that supersedes the old Open GDB Reader, but it doesn’t resolve my subtypes and domains. Am I missing something?
If not, please bring this functionality back, as it is/was one of the main reasons for using the Open Reader.

Workaround for now: the old one is still present albeit marked as deprecated, so I guess it may disappear in the near future

Hi @arnold_bijlsma, thanks for flagging this! The new OpenFile Geodatabase Reader is built upon the OpenFile Geodatabase GDAL driver bringing improvements over the previous File Geodb Open API.  As with any new format implementation, some features from the previous format may still need to be carried forward but this is something our team is actively investigating. Although we can’t specify a timeline or guarantee outcomes, we have this logged internally for review under FMEENGINE-97604 and will keep you informed if it has been addressed in a future release.

In the meantime, the File Geodb Open API reader is still fully available in 2026.1, so please continue using it for any workflows that rely on this functionality. Thanks for taking the time to test the new format and share your feedback, we appreciate it!
