This is starting to annoy me - in 2024.2, whenever I create a bookmark around something, FME automatically zooms to it. Is this a setting that can be turned off?

How do you create your bookmarks ?
I’ve tested in 2024.1 and 2025.0, and I don’t reproduce this behavior. I use CTRL + B to create bookmark (or right click > Create Bookmark).

There are couple of ways to create a bookmark in FME Workbench.
Select an area of the workspace (for example, a group of transformers) that you want the bookmark to encompass. Click the bookmark tool 
or right-click and select Create Bookmark. A bookmark appears around the selected area.
Alternatively, click the book mark tool, or right-click on the canvas and select Insert Bookmark. Then drag the bookmark over the area you want the bookmark to encompass.
Finally, enter a new name for the bookmark.
