How to dynamically change Root Document name in KMZ?

Hi All,

I am writing to a KML and trying to change the Root Document Name dynamically by retrieving the attribute value from a DB in the middle of the workspace.

I am aware that by using Format Attribute kml_document you are able to assign this to an attribute value; however by doing so I am losing all Metadata and Hierarchy assigned to that specific Writer.

Any idea will be welcome :)

Thanks,

Ana

Hi @anamanvil

There is an existing issue which tracks creating custom root document names for KMZ datasets. The status of this currently unplanned, however, it may be possible to work around this.

Are you specifying kml_document on all features destined for the KML writer? Are you able to share your workspace?

Hi @debbiatsafe, sorry for the late reply.

Unfortunately I am not able to share the workspace. I end up leaving as it is as the client was fine with the result but thanks for your time looking into this.
