Question

FeatureReader freezes on CSV read

I have a CSV with 4 columns, UTF-8, 52000 rows. Nothing too intense.

If I start a new blank FME workbench, drop on a FeatureReader, specify the input format as CSV, and select the csv file (which is not open in any other application), and then click ok, FME Workbench shows a brief dialogue stating "reading features", and then I get the spinning wheel of death, followed by an eventual crash.

Is this a known bug, should I be looking for something else?

To answer this, we're going to need more information.

Can you please share:

  1. Your workspace
  2. The log file from the crashed translation
  3. The CSV file (optional if confidential)

As you say this shouldn't be taxing FME too much, so there's something going on.
