Directory and File Pathnames - Path Filter now case sensitive?

In 2024.1 it appears that a Directory and File Pathnames reader with a Path Filter set to *.tab only reads tab files with a lowercase extension.

In 2021.2 both .tab and .TAB files are read

A MapInfo TAB file reader pointing at a folder path such as "E:\Mapinfo\**\*.tab" still reads both .TAB and .tab files

Is this expected behaviour?

There is a break in 2024. 2023.2 work correct. I think it’s a bug, because Windows isn’t case sensitive.

I thought it was going to be straightforward to amend the directory and filenames reader for case insensitive matching but now i’m not so sure. I’ve reported to Safe
