Question

Creating published parameters

Can I create a published parameter to accept either a value or an attribute name?

You see this quite a bit in the transformer parameters, where you can either type in a constant value, or select from an attribute list.

Cheers

Hi Keith,

You can create such a user parameter from a transformer parameters dialog.

Menu button of the parameter > User Parameter > Create User Parameter

For example:

Thanks Takashi,

As it turned out I had created the parameter correctly, as it worked exactly how I wanted it to when running. It was just when I was creating the parameter that I wasn't getting the 'select attribute' option, hence the confusion.
