Hello,

FME Flow requires ArcGIS Server to allow for direct access to geodatabases and ArcGIS Server is licensed per 4 physical cores.

As such, if you have an FME Flow deployment machine with 8 physical cores, will this mean 2 ArcGIS Server licenses?

From and Esri perspective, I would say yes (I work for Esri Australia) but wondering if Safe Software know of any arrangement, given that ArcGIS Server does none of the processing, just providing the libraries.

If you want to use Esri‑dependent functionality, you must license ArcGIS Server according to Esri’s rules.

Safe Software does not have a special exemption or alternative licensing arrangement with Esri. If you use ArcGIS Server libraries on an 8‑core machine, Esri licensing rules apply exactly as they would for any other deployment.
