I later looked at the system requirements for FME Desktop 2014 and noticed Windows Server 2008 SP2 or above is required.

I received this error when installing FME Desktop 2014 (20140120 - Build 14235 - WIN32) on Windows Server Standard 2008 SP1 (64 bit). I clicked ok, and the installer finished without any other errors. FME opens up and seems to be working correctly. Should I be concerned about this?

Hi,
if things appear to work properly, I wouldn't worry unless you plan to use the Microsoft SQL Server native client as a reader or writer.
