+6When I try and run the install msi file to upgrade my existing FME Server to 2016.1, I get this error:
'the system cannot open the device or file specified'
I have downloaded the install file again but get the same error. I am trying to install on a Windows Server 2008 machine.
Any Ideas?
+6I tried installing it on my local desktop and did not get the error so I have to assume it is an issue with the server
+44Our specifications page says Windows Server 2008 R2 is supported, so as long as you have that you should be OK. If you can't get it to work, try pinging our support team (safe.com/support). The only report I see of that error was - unfortunately - a long process to fix. The only possible quick solution I saw was if the msi file was on a network drive (move it to the server machine itself)
+6Could be a security permissions error on the server with that sort of response. Check that you can open a file downloaded from the interwebs. @swach
