Hi everyone! 👋

Our community is growing, and we want to make sure you have dedicated spaces to connect with peers who work in similar industries. We’re exploring the creation of new Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and would love your input on which industries matter most to you.

Below are a few sectors we’re considering for future SIGs. Cast your vote for the group you’d be most excited to join—or the one you think the community needs next!

What’s a SIG?
A Special Interest Group (SIG) is a smaller, focused space within the FME Community where members connect around a shared industry or domain. Today, we have SIGs for Utilities & Energy, Local Government, and Airports & Aviation.

Missing something? Let us know in the comments - we’re especially interested in hearing about industries or focus areas you’d like to see represented. And if you haven’t joined a SIG yet, click here to get started!

Urban Planning is an area that would really benefit… might fall wthin the categories above but is a data-rich interdisciplinary environment, especially geospatial.

Is there an interest from people in the mining industry that might profit from this forum?

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Based on your responses, we’re excited to announce that our next Special Interest Group will focus on AEC.

We’re planning to launch the group in Spring 2026, so stay tuned for more details soon. And don’t worry - we’re also exploring SIGs for other industries in the future.
