How can I map XML element attributes?

spatial relations for surrounding features

Hi hopefully someone can answer my query. I have a sample block of polygons and i want to know the location of each of the features that touch each polygon (top, bottom, left, right etc). all my data is in a grid with an example below. So i want to know the positions of each polygon against the other features. I can use the spatial relator and list concatenator to identify all the polygons which touch each polygons, but is there a way to identify the tiles relation further as in my example table below? i've looked at the left right calculator but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

Copy features according to attribute values

Dear community, I have a dataset with various attributes, which I would like to write to a MapInfo TAB. The structure of one feature is as follows (besides other, non relevant attributes for the moment): - attribute1 (always has a value) - attribute2 (has mostly a value) - attribute3 (rarely has a value) - attribute4 (is mostly empty) - attribute5 (is nearly always empty) I would like to copy the feature (with the geomtry) so that it overlaps. For example: If attribute1, attribute2 and attribute3 are present, then there should be a total of three features overlapping, each of them with just one attribute of the list. So feature1 with attribute1, feature2 with attribute2 and feature3 with attribute3. These three resulting features should have the same geometry, but each of them only with one attribute. If in this case, attribute4 and attribute5 are empty or missing, they should not be copied to a feature. Any one has an idea how I can accomplish this? Perhaps it's simple for t

Field Calculation on the fly (Calculate one column based on other columns within the same dataset)

Good morning everyone, I have ArcGIS data traveling through many transformers. Just before it hits the writer I want to calculate 2 fields (PERCENT_WORKING_INTEREST and UNIT_LEASED_PERCENTAGE) based on other fields that reside in the same set of data about to be written to either a file geodatabase or SDE. I'm having a hard time finding a way to do this properly. It seems it should be easy. ExpressionEvaluator seems to only do one calculation at a time, but I'm not even having luck with that. Maybe it's the way I'm writing the expression Here's the expression I've tried: ExpressionEvaluator settings Destination Attribute: PERCENT_WORKING_INTEREST Arithmetic Expression: @Value(WORKING_INTEREST_ACRES)/@Value(ESTACRES)*100 If I can get ExpressionEvaluator to work, can you do 2 ExpressionEvaluator transformers in a row? Startup Python Script import error under command line

Hi all? I import a customized module in the Startup Python Script?when I run it under the workbench ?it‘s all right. But when run it under the command line, it failed with python importerror ?No module named ... Can any one tell me why? Thanks

featuremerger error 0 output features

Hi I am having trouble with what I thought was a simple task I have done several times before. I have an excel dataset with a few attributes I would like to join to a shapefile based on an attribute they both share (link ID). I have tried using featuremerger but I always get the same result: it looks like the data has merged fine but when I open the shapefile there are no attributes appended from the table and the log shows the following errors: Final Output Feature Type Router(TestFactory): Tested 431964 input feature(s) -- 431964 feature(s) passed and 0 feature(s) failed Final Output Nuker(TeeFactory): Cloned 0 input feature(s) into 0 output feature(s) I thought it might just be a bug so i have tried starting again, closing FME and reopening, resaving the inputs etc. Nothing so far has worked. Any ideas?

Create Empty Folders

Hi, I am working on Win 7 machine with FME 64x. Here is a query for no-spatial purpose. I want to create a list of empty folders from a workbench. Example- I have a Local drive 'D' and I want to create folders like- 01_Source 02_Data 03_FME 04_ArcGIS 05_Erdas 06_AOI and subfolders moreover - 01_Source\\Directory\\File 06_Erdas\\POI_Image Is it possible using FME. Coordinate system names

Hi FME fans, Can anyone tell me why FME thinks some coordinate systems are different when they should be the same? For exampe, I'm getting 4 different values for coordsys UTM84-40S - eg UTM84-40S_0, UTM84-40S_1, UTM84-40S_2, UTM84-40S_3. Thanks, Owen

Group ASCII raster files to bigger units. But how?

I have an awful lot of small esri ascii grid rasterfiles (11215 objects) wich I try to group into larger units - from 250x250m squares to 2500x2500m squares. The solution eludes me though. I first tried to use rastermosaicker for all the parts but the resulting gridfile became larger than its 2.1Gb format spec so instead I opted to use areaonarea overlayer according to this picture Unfortunately only the polygon clipfile remains after AreaOnAreaOverlayer, I guess the transformer only works on vector data. How can I do this?

Converting MasterMap gz (or TAB) into tiled dwg

Hello, I've been asked to provide our AutoCad users with an up to date copy of OS MasterMap in DWG format. I have MasterMap in it's original GZ format or MapInfo TAB. To complicate matters these users have been used to having their mapping available in 1km tiles. I have managed to do a straight conversion from TAB to DWG but the output file is over 300Mb so I would like to know whether FME can be used to also tile the output into smaller individual files? I've had a look at the Tiler and whilst this does tile the output it's all still in a single file (which doesn't help me). To further complicate this I would then ideally like to name the output files by their tile reference, e.g. SH6050. I could revert back to the old piece of software that I used to use for this process but I would prefer to move this onto FME if possible. Many thanks

I have a point file which had ID (1,2,3,4,5..10). And I have a Raster file. I want to extract pixel value from raster to point file. That's mean each record in point file, it gets a value in raster. In FME, Can I do it? And if it is possible, how can i do? Thanks

Need to convert date to milliseconds format

Hello, I have a db table with a field called CSTSTARTDATEDA. In the db table, an example of a value is '8/16/1999'. In FME, I am using a SQL Server reader to pull all the data in the table, and FME is showing the date as 19990815000000.000. I need to convert the date to milliseconds format (a requirement for a data migration project). If I were doing this in SQL, I would convert the date to a BigInt, then subtract 25568 and multiply by 86400000. This would give me 934848000000 ((Convert(BigInt,[CSTSTARTDATEDA])-25568)*86400000). I tried to do this in my SQL statement in FME, but FME would not accept it. Is there another way to do this? I'm open to using a Python caller, but I'm not too familiar with Python. And the final result has to be in this format. There is no way around it. Thanks for any help/ideas! Erin
