Why FME 2016.1.0.0 desktop log file show server type `ORACLE8i' when I use oracle client & server as 12.1.0.2?

My FME job is failing & I am trying to troubleshoot. I found in desktop log file server type `ORACLE8i' when I use oracle client & server as 12.1.0.2. Why it is showing me server type "ORACLE8i' when I am using oracle 12C database server & client?

I'm sure someone can give a more detailed answer, but what you're observing is normal, it's in no way an indication that FME is expecting or trying for a connection to Oracle 8i.

Thanks David for your quick response. I do have successful run with same fme jobs but it fails sometime & not always. I don't have confirmed cause at this moment why it is failing sometimes.But when I was checking log file, found reader & writer related logs showing server type 'ORACLE8i' as follows.

 

 

2018-02-20 06:17:05| 2.1| 0.0|INFORM|ORACLE Reader: Using Oracle Reader to read tables from database `', server type `ORACLE8i',
