I want to change the name of a user in FME server? Is this possible. If not, can I create a new user and transfer ownership of items (resources, repositories, topics) to the new user?

If you're using the GUI the user's name can't be changed, only the full name.
So yes, creating a new user with the correct name and then transferring ownership of all items would be the way to approach this. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't transfer job history though.

If you're not already using a completely role-based security setup, this might be the time to consider going that direction. It makes these types of scenarios much easier.
