Hello! I am new to FME and hope you can help me. I was trying to translate from citygml to .imx format and received an error. How can I solve it? check details. Thank you

IMX Writer: Detected in invalid table names 'RoofSurface'. This writer expects only specific table names. Please add a new IMX writer to see the valid table names I guess it has something to do with the original tables from my citygml. but how to tackle this issue?

Workaround to run LineCombiner in Group mode? (OR condition)

I would like to combine lines on the attributes in column A OR B OR C and so on. The "combine on attributes" is an AND condition. What would be the cleanest workaround to achieve this?

I want to create slope from DEM using Raster Slope Calculator, the transformer won't give me the new "band 0" values.

When I run the tool the "Band 0" values are staying the same after the reprojection transformer is run, any tips to get the new values for "Band 0"?

Oracle Spatial Reader : All spatial filters failed... FME 2022.2.

Hello,After migrating to FME 2022.2 (desktop and server), I get errors on each workspace that uses Oracle Spatial FeatureReader with a spatial filter:I tried these workspaces on FME 2022.0 and everything works fine...I don't really feel like reinstalling another version of FME Server, so any solutions/workarounds are welcome :)(Using spatial SQL queries instead of FeatureReader is not an option)

PERFORMANCE OF FILE AND DIRECTORY PATH

If i run this command in the command prompt (OS) it takes about 15 seconds.M:\\Survey\\'COGO DATA>DIR /S *.DWGIf I run the Directory and File Pathnames Reader with essentially the same parameters it takes 5 hrs! Why can't fme do this any faster?

FME Server does not think the source file for FileCopy Writer is a file

I have a workbench that uses the FileCopy writer to move and rename an uploaded excel sheet, this works well when testing through desktop but when run via FME Server (the file is uploaded into a parameter) the following Warning is thrown and the file doesn't get moved; 2022-12-8 13:48:54 | File Copy Writer: Ignoring the destination filename 'DummyFile.xlsx' because the source dataset '""C:\\ProgramData\\Safe Software\\FME Server\\resources\\system\\temp\\upload\\Data Updates\\Geo-CustomerServices-TradeEffluentImportToSQL.fmw\\dbryant\\DummyFile.xlsx""' was not a file. Destination file names are only used when the source dataset is a file Is this a known limitation of FileCopy? I could use a SystemCaller and/or Python to get the same result but equally feel that this should work.

How do I create geometry features from input attributes?

I see how I can create a geometry using a creator where I can specify the geometry parameters. For example, creating an Clothoid by specifying Start X, Start Y, Direction etc. But these are all values that must be hand entered. How can pass these values into an "inline" Creator to set the geometries accordingly? I see 2DArcReplacer etc but not one for Clothoids. Is there a GeometryReplacer of sorts that would let you specify the type of geometry desired and which incoming attributes to assign to the relevant Geometry Parameters?

Advise on efficient workaround for writing Esri ASCII GRID file with a specific decimal accuracy

Hi, This question is linked to a previous question I posted on the community, about the number accuracy of the Esri ASCII GRID writer of FME. Please see that question for more details and screenshot, but a quick recap of it; when I created a dummy raster with Real32 interpretation, in which an original pixel value would be '0.0250313',the rounded pixel value would become '0.025',but the Esri GRID File seems to convert to Real64 interpretation and stores the value as '0.02503128908574581',whereas I would like the rounded value '0.025' to be written to the file. I noticed that this could save up to 50% in the file size. I suppose that this item is related to the Floating Point Precision and String Formatting in FME. Now I have been investigating some options for an efficient workaround to this question. I.e. to be able to create Esri ASCII Grid files that don't write out pixel values with 16 decimal values. Error when importing project on FME Server [FME Server 2021.2.4 ]

We have two FME Server environments als on two different computer environments. I copied the content of the .fsproject file from one computer environment into the other computer environment by means of copy/paste into a text file and then changing the extention to .fsproject (it's a bit of hack). No idea by doing that the .fsproject will be altered. However, I am then trying to import the project(.fsproject file) into the 2nd FME Server environment via "Projects" < "Manage projects" <"import". I am dragging the .fsproject file into and then clicking on "Import". After running, I get the following error: I changed our domains name to "nameofname" for security reasons.COM.safe.fmeserver.configuration.migration.FMEConfigurationException: java.io.IOException: Error on ZipFile \\nameofdomain\aplroot$\APLDATA\FMESERVER\resources\system\temp\tomcat\22e287e6b3514dc9b4dd095174c01fb7\restServerRestore.fsconfigPROJECT IMPORT : FAILURETask Failed : Please refer to above message I tried us

Published versus Private Parameters Question

I have put all of my parameters into the Private panel in the Parameters Manager, but they still display in FME Server 2021.1 unless I uncheck Published. What is the value of having to do both?

DWG SHX Fonts

Is there a way to read and use AutoCAD's SHX Fonts with FME? I need to be able to read in a DWG, determine the font used and recreate a map, currently trying to use the PDF Writer, using the original AutoCAD SHX font.Using the PDFStyler I can choose / define a Windows Font but can't figure out if and how the AutoCAD Fonts can be defined.

I need to split any ESRI FGDB file into a geometry and ID pair as well as CSV with the tabular data. Input fields needs to be dynamic. Can this be done?

I currently have multiple processes set up where predefined FGDBs can be loaded into Oracle using FME (server). I need to extend this so I can load ANY FGDB and I am struggling to find a way to do this dynamically. Ideally I would split out a uniqueID and Geom to load direct into Oracle and split out the tabular data into a CSV as I have a dynamic process set up for non-spatial data already. This way I can easily join the spatial and non-spatial programmatically in Oracle. Thanks

How to setup a folder that can be written to from FME Server

I created a Service account called svc_fme, and it has write access to a folder. The service account is what is setup for running the FME Server components except DB. Thinking same logic as Esri Service access for FME Service. I have an ETL on FME Server that is not writing to the desired location. How do I set this up?

Restart stream to free memory

We have a job running as a stream, it is not using any specific stream transformers, but it calls an API endpoint and just runs over and over (~10s) as fast as it can poll the API and write the data. The problem is the engine does not release memory between runs, so it slowly grows and grows. And if left for weeks unchecked the server starts having low memory issues. We can stop and start the stream and it will release the memory back. There is the server config setting MAX_TRANSACTION_RESULT_SUCCESSES which we have set to the default 100, but this does not seem to restart the engine and release the memory. Not sure if a stream just counts as 1 success so it never gets to 100 or what. So, wanted to reach out for any possible solutions for this? Only idea we have is to make and schedule a job that can call the v4 API to stop and start the stream every night. Any better ideas? Maybe some configuration we are missing? Thanks a lot!

Unable to see Authentication Services under User management in Admin console.

I am trying to setup SSO/SAML on FME server. We already have https enabled and I am able to login using the AD credentials.We are following below documentation and for FME server setting, it says to go to Authentication services which I am unable to locate under user management. I have points and lines, I want to snap the lines to the points, both edges, ends, and sides. I tried using the snapper and also tried using the anchored snapper, but I still don't get to snap some. I have used intersection transformer, it does the major part of the snapping but creates new points at any intersection without a point. I really would love to do this snapping based on relationship (attribute)

Socrata Writer 2, Attempting to write to asset. The writer fails with "Socrata Writer: HTTP 400 (None): Revision is of type 'update', but applying it would result in schema changes."

Have a process that takes a csv, adds a few attributes, and writes to Socrata. I just updated the package to use the newest Socrata Writer, thinking the old writer was the problem. When I run it I get the error "Socrata Writer: HTTP 400 (None): Revision is of type 'update', but applying it would result in schema changes." If I make the process output a csv, I can manually upload it to socrata without any issues/errors/warnings. Same exact data. I downloaded the full existing dataset, made a new workspace that just takes the downloaded data and uses the socrata writer to replace the cloud asset. Runs no problem. I thought that would fix any schema issues since it was a replace. But I get the same problem from the main process. I have made sure all headers match, etc but am stumped on the error. The asset has historical data that I don't want to lose every time the process runs. This is really an upsert/append operation. Thanks

Can I create a FME server app that allows the user to select from a dynamic list of gdb version names. I am able to create a workbench with a reader that reads the SDE_VERSIONS table but I don't know if its possible to use the version table create a pick list as a user parameter that would allow the user to select the version name to be used down stream. Failed to retrieve feature types

Hello. I'm working for a client on FME desktop 2018.1. My workbench was working fine, reading SQL tables and writing Arcgis Portal Features Services. Since we changed the authentication system (IWA), I don't have access to the layers anymore. I'm able to connect successfully to the Arcgis Portal Feature Service (through NTLM, domain\username), but I cannot access to the features themselves anymore ("Failed to retrieve feature types error"). If we disable IWA, it's working fine but this is not an option.
