Question

I'm trying to change the Dataset in the parameters of a Feature Reader transformer before to publish it in FME Server... but when I put the address a message error is shown.

The error message shown is "XML Parser error: 'unable to open primary document entity '\\1_Src\\Bag\\Inspire_data_NLD\\9999STA*.zip''

Failed to obtain any schemas from reader 'GML' from 1 datasets. This may be due to invalid datasets or format accessibility issues due to licensing, dependencies, or module loading. "

Unfortunately, every time you change the source the FeatureReader decides to go and try and read the data and work out the feature types etc. If you are referring to a file that FME does not have access to you will see this message.

I normally put the filepath in an attribute prior to the featurereader, then reference this attribute as the Dataset source in the featurereader, you then get a Generating Output Ports option and you can use a local copy of the right sort of file to set up the ports correctly (or ignore if using a single output port)

Vote here if you'd like it to be easier to reference before publishing to FME server

Ok...Is it possible for transformer can read the file from the Resources-Data Folder from FME Server?

Voting link is broken.

Might be this one? https://community.safe.com/s/bridea/a0r4Q00000HbrjwQAB/featurereader-ignore-option-for-generating-output-ports
