Changing limits of a predefined projection

I want to widen the limits of the NZTM projection to cover the complete EEZ around New Zealand instead of just covering the mainland islands. In particular I need the Chatham Islands included, which are inconveniently across the international dateline.

I used to be able to go in and hack a *.fme config file, but now they are all binary .db files.

This is so that entire databases can be held in a single projection. We can live with the lower precision that is implied by extending the transverse mercator projection east-west a little further.

Looking at the help-file it still exists: "Use a text editor to edit the MyCoordSysDefs.fme file in your Reproject directory. This directory is located where FME was installed on your system. (It is always good practice to create a backup copy of the file before you make any changes.)". MyCoordSysDefs.fme

As a "starter" you can copy/paste from this site - if you find it already there? http://spatialreference.org/ref/?search=New+Zealand&srtext=Search

MyCoords is only for a custom projection. I can make my own, and have done in the past, since NZTM is a standard UTM transverse mercator with different parameters.

But I really wanted to hack the system definitions. Maybe Safe will have to do that for us all in NZ.
