Where in the world are you adventuring this summer/winter?

Whether you're exploring a new city, hiking a mountain trail, or enjoying a staycation in your own backyard - we’d love to hear about it! Bonus points if you share a map or photo to show us where you're headed.

New to the Question of the Week?

Just returned from a spot of adventuring

Summer is still a few months away down under…..!

View last week out my kitchen window:

And from a recent (work) trip over the ditch to Sydney

I realized I could do 2 back-to-back cycling trips in the UK next month. First the Coast-to-Coast (Whitehaven to Tynemouth) and then the day after that ends the Coast and Castles (Newcastle to Edinburgh) trip starts, and then at the end I’ll stay an extra day in Edinburgh. It’s supported leisure cycling, so there’s a van that meets up with us a few times a day for lunch and snacks and stuff. I’ve already done the Coast to Coast trip once, 13 years ago with the same tour company, so I know what to expect.

“Leisure” is maybe downplaying it a bit, the C2C route definitely has some cheeky climbs and on the Coast and Castles there’s still some 80-90 km days.

Last month I did a spring trip to one of the newer national parks here in the US. Indiana Dunes NP. For the summer I will be leading 3 different short backpacking trips in the foothills of Appalachia.

I literally just got back from a trip to east-coast Canada, in Nova Scotia.

Travelled there and back by train to make it even more special.

If only I hadn’t brought back a horrible cold as a souvenir ☹️

Visit some family in Deutschland and I have a wedding in Mexico. I invited FME Lizard, naturally.

Similar to @mark2atsafe, I was also on the East Coast! Spent a couple of days in Montreal eating and walking around, and then off to PEI to enjoy the sun, beaches, and seafood. Looking forward to hiking in BC this summer!

Where is that Indian restaurant? It looks good!

It was TULA @philippeb!
