Hi Community! 👋 Welcome back to Community 101—a series where we share quick, bite-sized insights about the community.
Have you ever wondered how customer feedback shapes what gets built in FME? It all starts right here in the Ideas section of the Community.
What is the Ideas section?Â
The Ideas section is where you can submit suggestions for new features, enhancements, or improvements to FME. It’s a direct way to share what you need - and help shape the product roadmap with real-world use cases and feedback.
How does it work?
You can participate in three simple ways:
- Submit an idea if you have a suggestion for improving FME
- Vote on ideas you care about - every vote signals what matters most to the community
- Join the discussion - add comments, share use cases, and explain why an idea matters
How does voting influence development?
Your votes really do make a difference:
- Votes help Safe Software understand what’s most important to the community
- Comments about use cases or how this feature/lack of feature impacts your work. Context about how it impacts your work drives and supports product development.Â
- The Product team monitors ideas when planning future releases
- More votes = more visibility = a better chance of becoming a real feature in FME
Did you know?
In a recent community survey, 17.72% of members didn’t know that Ideas influence the product roadmap. Now you do - and your participation truly helps shape what comes next.
