FME 2025.0 is here, packed with exciting new features that transform how you work with data.

FME 2025.0 introduces the concept of "heartbeat" features to FME. Our new Heartbeat support ensures that when streams experience extended quiet periods, the TimeWindower now processes features accurately, avoiding outdated data retention.

This feature introduces a configurable heartbeat option on the connector, enabling the system to stay responsive even in the absence of data flow.

KafkaConnector is the first to support this capability, with additional streaming connectors scheduled to release in the coming months.
This video explains when these features are created, and demonstrates several examples of how to use them in an FME workspace.

That’s really cool, thanks @danielleatsafe and @mark2atsafe!

I now need to find something where I can use this!

Looks good @mark2atsafe!

Now we just need some parameters within the Terminator transformer to enable it to have a graceful completion of a Flow job with control over the state. Anything using the Terminator looks like a failure when reviewing a stack of jobs

I agree @simonl - if you haven’t already done it, be sure to upvote this idea, and I will bring it up with our product management team.
