a by pass switch to just disable it but keep the data flowing thru it

a method to disable but you want to let the data flow to an output (the default output - or choose which output) especially when testing but

- disable stops the data flow -- this would be the same as a disable but allows the data thru with no changes

I like the "bypass" word. Would only be relevant tough for xformers with a single input and output, right?

We'd graphically have to show a line around the transformer, as well as "dim" the xformer ala disabled.

Interesting idea.

If folks have thoughts as to how it could apply to multi-port, let's hear...

I'll admit to having many workspaces with paired connections annotated "enable to bypass..." and "disable to bypass..."

 

For multiports, I would say clone the data through both ports. It would be the equivalent of deleting the transformer, and having the connection automatically reattach to the previous transformer.
