I would love this!

When doing geometric analysis containing points, lines and shapes, it would be very helpfull to give each type there own colour so it would be easier to understand what is happening (espacially when there are some spatialFilters / spatialRelators in the workspace)

It would certainly also be helpful if you could assign the lines one or more categories, so that then each category can be shown in a different color.

How about the ability to change the colour of a port on a transformer and any connection to that port becomes that colour automatically?

Was thinking this would be a good idea and found it had already been created, and then found I'd already voted!

Same idea this morning : change link colour or link width to identify specifics routes.

A thousand times 'yes'.

In complicated workspaces, even a simple red/green AKA 'yes/no' choice would be very helpful. Presently, I colour-up annotations to do this, which of course takes space.

Similar idea here.

What I suggest is to introduce a transformer which applies a particular color to an individual feature based on a condition. After this transformer, all links that this feature passes will be colored accordingly.

Would be a great way to visually track features through a workspace.

This would be useful for overlapping connections too. Would help make overlaps clearer, without having to use tunnels.

Would be great to isolate out workflow streams by color!

Great idea, I think that it would greatly aid in visually reading through/demonstrating workspaces. Particularly those that break the 10 transformer rule by some distance!

Slightly unhelpful but fun addition - add 'disco' mode to make the connection colour change every so many features, or on a condition, or at random!

Great news! This functionality is now available in the FME 2020.0 Beta: https://www.safe.com/support/support-resources/fme-downloads/beta/

Please give this a try and let us know what you think!
