How to change language of keyboard input?

Forum|alt.badge.img

My keyboard input to FME has suddenly changed. If I use another application I get my normal response, but when I try to type in FME, it seems the keyboard layout has changed (probably to another language somehow). I cannot find anything in the settings that fixes this. Has anyone got an idea what might have caused this and how to fix it?

super werid - I have had similar things when I have a remote session open. But from memory that effected other applications as well. Do you have a remote Session open?

It looks like there is an option here in with windows setting which lets you use different input methods for each app window. Is this checked on?

I am triggered by the word 'suddenly'. Apparently, your keyboard worked correctly in FME and then, from one moment to another, not anymore. Could you think of a change on your system that could have caused this issue, i.e. something that has happened between the moment everything was still fine and now?

And: can you please tell us a little bit more about your environment (OS, FME version, language settings, etc.)? Did you contact your system administrator on this issue?

I cant really pinpoint when it happened, but it was working this morning and then not, I can quite put my finger on when/how I noticed it the first time. I have a PC running Windows 10 and working in FME Workbench 2021. My language setting of the computer (and my keyboard) is Swedish, but FME is in English. No, I have not yet contacted a systems administrator, but unless it resolves itself soon I will have to do so.

Thanks for your reply. There should be a cause, of course, but yeah, in cases like this, with a weird, sudden change, these causes might be difficult to track... That's why you should contact system administration. They might be able to shed some light on the issue...

There is a hotkey to switch keyboard layouts in Windows (Alt-Shift), but that would switch it for all apps, not just FME.
