I can change (rename) the autocad_entity_handle of objects. But when I write them back to dwg they will get new handles. Looks like when writing to a dwg the objects in the dwg will get new handles :-S

I'm looking for a solution to write to a dwg and have control of the handle-names of the objects. Who can help me? :-)

hello @sprongandre , as the entity handle is an internal AutoCAD identifier, I would suspect you will struggle to be able to manipulate it as you would like. If I see anything useful I will let you know.

@sprongandre This value is internal to Autocad software, You cant change this, When we force this value to writer, Autocad dont care about the new value supplied'. its writing its own autocad_entity_handle value. And this value is generated at the time of writing.
