The need to creating *.gdb before converting dwg files to ESRI feature classes,

I couldn’t figure out if I need to create first *.gdb I order to be able to convert dwg files to feature classes stored in file geodatabase. Does this mean that I need to have ArcGIS, for example, installed in my machine to do so?

Thank you

Best

The writer creates new GDB dataset when you run the workspace.

Enter the gdb name into the "Geodatabase (.gdb) Folder" field directly, if it doesn't exist yet.
