Issues converting tab to geojson due to NativeX in file

Hello Forum,

 

I need to convert a tab file to geojson, which is ordinarily a simple task. However I am getting this error message…

“MITAB Reader: Unsupported table type 'NativeX' in file #######################.  This type of .TAB file cannot be read by this library.”

Note that the # symbols are masking the UNC path and file name.

Does anyone know a way around this?

    Hi @scarter unfortunately it looks like NativeX files can only be read by the MAPINFO_EXTENDED/MAPINFO_EFAL readers, not MITAB or MAPINFO. I’ve filed for better logging in the future. Let us know if you are able to read the file with the other readers!
