How to connect to a Progress OpenEdge V11 database

I have created a 32 bit DSN ODBC connection using the progress/openedge 11.7 driver which connects successfully. I am trying to then connect via FME 2020.2 and choosing the ODBC option to connect but I am getting a message returned as follows?

The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application

Hi @sarah.coathup are you using FME 2020.2 32-bit or 64-bit? Since your ODBC connection is 32-bit you will want to use the 32-bit version of FME Desktop. Let me know if you're still running into issues.

Thanks @danminneyatsafe

I am using FME 64 bit – I did wonder about whether that could be the cause.

Can I have both bit versions installed on the same vm using the same licence?

@sarah.coathup Yes! You can have both FME 64-bit and 32-bit on the same machine. The 32-bit install will also detect the existing license on your machine.
