Hi,

I cannot write a Sketchup file.

I have FME(R) 2018.0.1.1 (20180615 - Build 18312 - WIN64)

And the log says:

Reprojector: Using transformation `SWEREF99_to_WGS84,Forward(Geocentric,EPSG:1879)' when reprojecting from SWEREF-99-13-30 to SKP_COORDSYS_0

Failed to write Sketchup file to 'C:\\Temp//LAS.skp'

What to do?

First thing to try is adding a GeometryValidator before writing. Any invalid geometries will cause the writer to fail. See the documentation for some helpful tips.

I do get a coordinate system error but it does write a Sketchup file. If it is coordinate system related you could try reprojecting to *XY-MT* right at the start of the process.

We're on different builds (I'm on 18310, you're on 18312), maybe that's it. Also, the one error I get is referring to a Csmap exception.

Are you using a custom coordinate system by any chance?

Hi @bigjonas69,

I tried to reproduce the problem, but the file wrote with no errors for me. I wonder if there may be permission issues with the location you are writing to, or if you are trying to overwrite an existing file open in another application.

Please try writing to another location and see if that solves the problem.

Hi DaveAtSafe,

I have tried a different location now and it did not help...

And I have tried a FMW workspace from my job what is working fine there. But that same FMW worbench (I have to change the file locantions from input and output files) is not working on my home computer...

So there are something wrong with my home license or my FME installation at home...

Is there a limitation at home license?
